GUITAR ACCESSORIES ADVICE
Once you have spent all your hard earned cash on your new pride and joy I strongly recommend that you save up with the intention of investing in some essential high quality guitar accessories. You can get away with cheap stuff at home but if you are more ambitious and want to strut your stuff in a band, and perform on stage LIVE, then please follow my advice. It will save you plenty of grief and MONEY!!! Take it from ME. I've worn the tee shirt and done the video!!
GUITAR STRAPS
An el cheapo guitar strap will not last TEN Minutes on stage. The plastic end piece which attachés to the guitar will probably split and your pride and joy will most likely go crashing to the ground, halfway through your BABE MAGNET guitar solo!! End result? You loose your GUITAR, the BABE and give every one in the audience a good laugh, at your expense!! So, go for a good quality guitar strap which features heavy duty components and quality fabrics or leather. A good guitar shop should stock quality straps. What design you go for is up to you. I personally invested in a hand tooled leather strap. It's nice and wide, well made and has a solid steel buckle and trimmings. Please see photo's

STRAP LOCKING DEVICIES. I would highly recommend investing in a strap locking system. There are varying designs on the market. The system I use is very simple. It comprises of two replacement strap studs which fix to the guitar and locking end devicies which are attached to each end of the strap. The strap locking devices fix onto the guitar strap studs, thus securing the guitar strap. SIMPLE!! See photo's

GUITAR LEADS/ Patch Leads
The guitar lead is the vital link between your guitar and amp. A cheap guitar lead will give a poor electrical signal, SO, effect the sound of your guitar. A cheap lead will have poor shielding, will be noisy and crackle when you move it and the jack sockets will invariably come loose from the lead, due to poor soldering and cheap manufacturing. Professional lead manufacturers may have their own take on design features, but the established brands will be made from industry standard materials. A quality lead will last you years and sound great too. Try some different brands out at your guitar shop/store. I've had my leads for four years now!! They still sound great and they show no signs of wear and tear. SO, THERE!!
